- Please insert the appropriate blade length in the basket
- Make a note with Edding which kind of steel the blade is made of
- Afterwards send the blade and a printout of the order confirmation by DHL to us (adresse)
- I'll send the hardened and tempered blades back after receiving the money
- Alternatively, its possible to come by and pick up your blade. Just call us first to make an appointment ( phone +49 1578-4967766 )
IMPORTANT!
Please note that the blades undergo an extreme change in structure during curing and this discharge all tensions and irregularities in the steel structure. In plain language, this can mean a curved blade in frequent cases, or in rare cases a broken blade. This only affects forged Blades normally.
I STRONGLY recommend getting in forged blades heat treatment (normalizing, normalizing sharp, stress relief) before hardening the blade. I am happy to take this important work for you.
Unforged blades of sheet material should not be turned blue during grinding. Otherwise, I suggest you before hardening the blades a stress relief annealing to avoid a hardening distortion.
We harden each blade individually. Despite the best Care we take, we can not completely compensate for the heat treatment blunders during forging (too much heat in too little deformation). In rare cases, it may therefore come despite optimal heat treatment for crooked blades.
All blades should not be sharp before hardening. Leave at the cutting edge a material thickness of at least 0.5 mm! Otherwise it can cause waves in the blades.
